"My battle with lung cancer (stage 3) last year was a successful but very tough one.
Chemo and Radiotherapy almost killed my taste buds and eating has become more of a chore.
Now, I literally had to 'eat to live? so to speak. It doesn't help when I'm a food lover.
Aside from the extremely strict diet (no carbs, no dairy, no sugar, etc.), food started to
taste really bland and my body constantly felt heated up due to treatments. Fruits and vegetables
juicing was not just ideal for easy consumption, it become what little treat I had left in food.
In time, my family and I started getting more creative. The simple blends of salads and juices
from veggies or herbs such as lemongrass, snakegrass, cucumber, bitter gourd, carrot, celery,
asparagus and beetroot; to fruits such as green apple, orange, coconut, pear, pineapple,
water-chessnut, sour sop and so on would make my day. Not forgetting the refreshed feeling
of a cleansed body. Though I'm clear of cancer cells today, I still make keep the routine of
